My Greatest Hits

Taking Requests!
So far my most popular posts have been my screencasts which show how to use various Web 2.0 tools. I've decided to put them all together on one page, to make them easier to find. I am also taking requests. Is there a tool that you would like me make a screencast for? Let me know and I'll see what I can do.

I used Jing to record this screencast and the embed code makes the video way too big for my blog. Please click on the link above to watch this one.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. These tools are mysteries to the teachers I work with and I can't wait to share "the power" with them. :-) This is so very valuable!

Hi Liz

Thanks for sharing these screencasts. I would really like to embed the Figuring out Flock into The Edublogger post Are You Getting The Most Out Of Your Web Browser? but it's loading/not playing from Blip.TV. I was wondering, if I'm not asking too much (yes I am), whether you could upload to YouTube?

And I will also be linking across from The Edublogger to your blog off course so they can check out your other videos.

Thanks for doing this because this is awesome! I love having them all in one place because I will be using them for my grad course this summer (and I will make sure you get the credit!)

Hey Liz,
Great work, How was your experience using Jing? It's great from end user pov. I have a series of screencasts I have to do and I was planning on using Jing. Any thoughts?

I am also an instructional technology in Massachusetts and am exploring the power of Web 2.0 tools. Your blog looks like it will be a great resource for me. I'm glad I stumbled upon it! Your favorites blogs and other links are especially helpful. I'm wondering when you have the time to do your blog! As with everyone else in educational technology you must not require a lot of sleep. I'll be back to visit again soon. Thanks again for the great resources.

Thanks for all of your kind words! I'm still taking requests. What should I do next? Setting up a Ning site for a classroom? Something on GoogleDocs? Wikispaces?

Sue - I do have a version of the Flock screencast on YouTube, but for some reason the quality isn't as good as on blip.tv. You can find it here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=crB8CcYBnBQ

Mike - I like Jing - but it is limiting since the screencasts are in flash and you can't upload them to YouTube.

Lorena - I'm glad to hear that you like what I share on Diigo. (I'm always worried that I might be bugging people when I share things I tag.)

Requests?
-Liz

Hi Liz, what did you use to do your screencasts. I used Jing for a while but it didn't take long to use up my months space allocation. cheers Sarah

Thanks Liz I've add the video from YouTube on Flock to the post on Web browsers on The Edublogger and I suggested that readers check out your excellent series of how to videos by linking to this post.

Quality of the two videos gets back to how the two sites convert videos when they are uploaded. I just find YouTube tends to be more reliable. I personally use Google Video.

I hope it helps sent lots of extra traffic and readers to your blog. Thanks a lot for having your videos in one simple location.
